Thank you, great post!

It worries me how education, mental health and the quality of living of our children is so neglected, specially by politicians.

Education never seems to be a priority in the candidates speech, not just in the US but in Europe too. Economy and prosperity is always mentioned but a prosperous future cannot exist with an eliterate, mentally unhealthy children of today that will become the leaders of tomorrow.

Teachers are gravely underpaid and overworked, for the majority, and not recognized as the engine that drives a happy, healthy and productive society.

Teachers carry the knowledge of our common knowledge, they help create every single professional and allow humanity to exist as we know it today and in the past.

If we hope to move our nation to a higher level of integrity and quality of life, we must focus our attention and money on children. The brains of youngsters differ from the brains of adults. Children think and act like children, which turns out to be totally appropriate. Children cannot raise themselves. They hold enormous potential, even as they depend on adults for stability, love, care, and education. Yes, Kendall-Taylor, every child must receive the resources they need. Children deserve to have their needs met. It becomes our job to provide for these needs.
